Administrative support staff of the Postgraduate Program
In the PPS “Dermatoscopy”, sufficient and specialised administrative support is provided. An experienced secretary constitutes the administrative staff of the PPS, while additional administrative assistance may be offered, if necessary, by the Central Secretariat of the School of Medicine, which, apart from its experienced staff, maintains a well-staffed Postgraduate Studies Office to meet such needs.
The academic qualifications of the PPS secretary include: holding a university-level degree, computer literacy, proficiency in a foreign language (English), prior experience in Postgraduate Study Programmes, experience in organising and participating in seminars and conferences, as well as teaching and educational experience and many years of service in academic and non-academic administrative positions.
The responsibilities of the Secretariat include carrying out administrative tasks, implementing the Regulation, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Programme, while all secretarial support is provided within the University premises. The Secretariat of the PPS is responsible, among other things, for student registration, guidance for obtaining institutional accounts and academic identification cards, organisation of online courses, registration of students on the electronic platform *elearning.auth.gr* and management of the corresponding educational material, maintenance of grade records, lecturer evaluations, attendance records, issuance of Master’s Diplomas, certificates and statements of participation, and the financial management of the Programme through the ELKE online platform (tuition fee payments, staff contracts and payments, position announcements, tenders, and equipment expenses). Furthermore, the Secretariat handles current matters related to the teaching staff, postgraduate students, the programme schedule, classroom arrangements, catering for students during in-person courses, technical support for urgent electronic or other issues, communication with various University services and collaborating institutions, and also manages public relations and the promotion of the Programme.
The PPS website is supported by a specialised and experienced technical consultant, while information systems and technological infrastructure are supported by the Digital Governance Unit of AUTh, the technical service of the Hospital for Venereal and Skin Diseases of Thessaloniki, and external collaborators, funded directly by the PPS, if needed.
