Since February 2021, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) has been a member of the Pan-European Seal (PES) Professional Traineeship Programme. This initiative enables the aforementioned categories of students to undertake a one-year paid traineeship (extendable for up to three years) at the European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich, or a one-year traineeship at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante, commencing in September 2026.

This announcement and call for applications is addressed to:

• Graduates who have completed their postgraduate studies at AUTH (through a departmental, interdepartmental, or inter-institutional postgraduate programme) and obtained their degree within the calendar years 2024, 2025, or early 2026.

• Postgraduate students who have completed their taught coursework at AUTH (through a departmental, interdepartmental, or inter-institutional postgraduate programme) and are in the final stages of their master’s thesis, which must be submitted (though not necessarily defended) no later than 31 August 2026.
